Pinot Noir

Willamette Valley, Oregon

Region

Our Pinot Not is produced in the unique hillsides of the Willamette Valley AVA. The Cascade Mountains to the east to the coast range mountains to the west shelters the Pinot Noir from the cool climate. The rich alluvial soils on the valley floor, and a selection of volcanic sedimentary soils on the hillsides allow for a variety of microclimates with distinctively different flavor characteristics.

Winemaking

Fermentation begins naturally in 7-ton fermentation tanks pumped over twice a day and pressed off. The cool fermentation temperatures with manual punch-downs help build structure, color and texture. They are on their skins for ten days, then malolactic fermentation takes place in tank, followed by 3 months in oak. The Pinot Noir is 30% blend aged in oak which enhances its varietal purity. The wine is vegan and no animal products were used in the making.

Alcohol: 13.5%

Tasting Notes

A gorgeous, soft and delicate wine rich in flavor with overtones of strawberries and floral notes.
