2016 Year In Review

Master Wines
We’d like to take a moment to thank all of our friends and family for a wonderful 2016. We feel truly blessed to be able to share our love for wine, food, and life every year.  We look forward to a happy and healthy 2017 for people around the world, and especially our friends and family. ¡Salut!

Mel, Janie, Charlie and the entire Master Wines family.

New Wines Resolutions

We began the year with New Wines Resolutions, introducing new wines to our portfolio!  We resolved to share a bottle of wine with a friend, and I’m happy to say that we followed this resolution many, many times.  How’d you do?

Throughout the year, we tasked our resident Southerner with various food and wine pairings, including an off-beat matchup of wines from the south of France with barbeque from the South.

Mel & Janie

Mel and Janie continued sharing their experiences via the “Through The Grapevine” blog, including Mel writing on Sustainability and Janie sharing a hilarious story about Thanksgiving in France.

France

Finally, we ended our year as we traditionally do, with a trip to France to taste the latest blends for our upcoming vintages.

Welcome Preston Trahan!Preston Trahan

Our last order of business in 2016 was bringing on long time friend and associate Preston Trahan to the Master Wines team.  Preston is a very close friend of the family and has decades of experience in the restaurant and wine business, and we are thrilled to work with him.  Based in New Orleans, Preston will be assisting Charlie with our national sales operations moving forward.
